Oahe Capitals Ready for Season Defining Weekend

Last Saturday evening, the Rushmore Thunder beat the Brookings Rangers for its first loss of the season, with the Oahe Capitals win in overtime, the Caps leap frogged the Rangers into first place and remain in first heading into this weekend where they play those two teams, Rushmore on the road and Brookings at home on Saturday and Sunday.

The Capitals swept last weekend over Aberdeen and two against Sioux Center to remain perfect at home and without a regulation loss all season. However, the toughest weekend is upon them with both Rushmore and Brookings, the other teams in the top three. Wins against both teams would put them comfortably in the driver seat heading into the final weekend of the regular season looking to clinch a league title.

Head Coach of the Oahe Capitals, Steve Steele says from last weekend, the coaching staff was happy with how the team played with three different types of games and it wasn’t easy…

Steele says these guys are ready to go…

Steele says both of these games will be tough to win…

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 Central Time on Saturday in Rapid City with a 5:00 start on Sunday against Brookings. You can catch both games on Capital City Rock and capitalcityrock.com with Jon Winkler on the call.
