The Pierre Governor gymnastics team on Saturday, competed in the AA State Competition and finished in ninth as a team with a score of 132.8 as the Mitchell Kernels were the grand and state champions with a 147.8.
As a team the Governors had its best finish in seventh place on the balance beam with a team score of a 33.1 with Navaeh Karber finishing the highest for the Govs at 26 with an 8.5. Marissa Matthews had an 8.4 while Lexy Peterson and Isabel Jirsa finished with an 8.1 and 8.075.
Peterson all finished the highest on the floor routine with an 8.875 and the highest on the uneven bars with a 8.75. Aubre Westover was the best Governor finisher in the vault with an 8.55.
