Wrestling Splits Mitchell Triangular to Finish Dual Regular Season

The door is wide open for the state dual tournament in two weeks as the seeding will be set later this week. The Governors split with a loss to Mitchell and a win over Harrisburg Friday night.

The Govs picked up a 46-20 over Harrisburg but fell to Mitchell 32-22 to close out the night and regular season for duals as they finish at 14-4 on the year. Every team in the state has at least two losses now after Watertown defeated Brandon Valley which will make the first round very competitive in a couple of weeks. Over half of the field will be ESD teams with Pierre, Watertown, Harrisburg, Mitchell and Brandon Valley. They’ll be joined by Rapid City Stevens, Madison and Tea Area.

Coach’s Corner this week will feature a conversation with Coach Shawn Lewis as they gear up for the ESD and state tournament.
