The Stanley County Buffaloes, after falling on Monday on the road to Potter County, return home for a Thursday night matchup against the White River Tigers.
White River is coming off a win on Tuesday when they beat powerful Winner at the buzzer 70-68 trailing by one going down the floor. White River is at 9-4 but have won seven of eight after the big Tuesday night win. The Tigers also won the Jones County Tournament where these two teams could have potentially played if not for a Covid issue.
The Buffs have dropped two straight after having won three in a row prior. Stanley County sits at 7-6 and in third place in the Region 6A standings. Right now, the Buffs would have Mobridge-Pollack in the SoDak 16 qualifying game if the season would end today.
It’s a standalone boys games today with the varsity game to begin around 7:30.
