Coyote Football Gearing Spring Season

VERMILLION, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — South Dakota begins their 2021 spring football campaign next Friday night.

The Coyotes come into this year after a 5-7 2019 season. The Yotes have not played since November 23rd, 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed the fall 2020 regular season to the spring of this year. Coach Bob Nielson talks about adjusting to playing the regular season in the spring:

South Dakota  was scheduled to open the regular season in the Dome Friday, February 19th against Western Illinois but it has been postponed due to Covid-19 protocols in for Western Illinois.
