PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. An update on Covid-19 will start the meeting in special business before Commissioners consider approval of a three-item consent calendar. A public hearing is scheduled at 5:45 pm for a conditional use permit request made by Central State Property for a proposed apartment project. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase a compost screen and an update to the city fee schedule. The Commission has two requests to bids on the agenda, one for the 2021 curb and gutter project and one for 2021 street projects. Commissioners will also consider a request to purchase new police radios and will hear about the launch of a new smart phone app residents can use to pay utility bills. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
