Names Released In Fatal Tripp County Crash

WINNER — The names of two people killed in a two vehicle crash in Tripp County have been released by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. Authorities say 29 year-old Krystie Clairmont and 56 year-old Ina Fast Horse, both of Rosebud, South Dakota were killed in the Wednesday evening crash. A 1995 Chevy pickup driven by 29 year-old Nathaniel Wood of Commerce City, Colorado was driving south on Highway 49 when he failed to make a complete stop at the intersection of Highway 44. Wood’s pick-up struck a 2017 KIA that was westbound on Highway 44. Clairmont was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the KIA. She was transported to a hospital in Winner where she died later. Fast Horse was wearing a seat belt and died Thursday in a Rapid City hospital. The KIA’s driver, 30 year-old Arnold Jordan of Rosebud was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries. Wood also suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and was wearing a seat belt. Charges are pending against both drivers.  The crash happened around 8:30 pm six miles east of Winner.
