The Sully Buttes Charger girls and boys hosted Potter County Friday night, and while the girls got back in the win column, the Charger boys fell hard against the Battlers.
In the first game, Sully Buttes downed Potter County 61-25, , behind balanced scoring by the Chargers. Stevie Wittler led with 14, Ally Wittler added 12, Lydia Hill with 10, and two players with eight points apiece.
The Chargers led 26-18 at the half, and outscored Potter County 35-7 in the second half, to push their record to 8-8, while Potter County slips to 3-10.
In the boys game, the Battlers intense pressure caused multiple turnovers, and they rolled the Chargers 67-37. The Battlers led 20-4 after one, 33-15 at the break, and cruised to victory with a continuous clock the last three minutes of the game.
The Battlers’ Grant Luikens exploded for 33 points to lead all scorers, while Rafe Wientjes led Sully Buttes with 12 points. The Chargers now slip to 7-9, while Potter County ups it’s mark to 11-3.
