FORT PIERRE — A brief power disruption led to issues with electrical systems across portions of South Dakota Tuesday. The interruption caused a short term loss of power at the South Dakota State Capitols where numerous Committee hearings were underway at the time. One hearing was delayed when online Legislative Research Council staff lost a connection to a meeting of the House Ag and Natural Resources Committee. All of Fort Pierre appeared to be out of power at least for a short while and four Pierre area radio stations with tower facilities south of Fort Pierre were off air for approximately 30 minutes before commercial power was restored.
