The Mitchell Kernels picked up another close win against the Pierre Governors, this time at Riggs High School as the girls fell 50-45.
Both teams struggled to make shots back on January 14, but on this night, both teams struggled to possess the ball. Pierre finished with 28 turnovers in the game while the Kernels still had 24. A sloppy fourth quarter saw the Kernels hold on in the end to pick up the win. Remi Price, though, she led all scorers with 21 points on the night while Ayvrie Kaiser scored 10. The two sophomores were the lone Govs with double figures.
