PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. A public hearing will be held at 5:30 for an approach on Linnell Street before Commissioners move into the heart of the agenda. An executive session will be held right away so Commissioners can consult with counsel. The Commission will consider three emergency management items including a FEMA grant, Baron Weather contract and tower contracts. The Commission will consider advertising for bids on fuel, mag water, culverts and crushed gravel. Commissioners will consider the purchase of a one way plow, personnel items, property tax abatements and a delinquent property tax agreement. Rounding out the meeting is the approval of claims and hearing any reports from liaisons and the County Manager.
