Bad Controller Discovered As Issue With Bad River Pedestrian Bridge Lighting

FORT PIERRE — Less than three months after their debut over the Bad River, decorative lighting on the structure connecting downtown Fort Pierre and Fishers Lilly Park have experienced a setback. Fort Pierre Public Works Director Rick Hahn says the issue with the lights not operating properly has been discovered…

The 72-thousand dollar project to light the Bad River Pedestrian Bridge with 42 LED lights was funded through private donations. Over 75-thousand dollars was raised for the lights, which were turned on for the first time on December 5th as part of Fort Pierre’s Cowboy Christmas celebration. Hahn did not have a time line as to when the lights may return to a normal operating condition.
