With a spot in the SoDak 16 on the line, the Lyman Raiders will be on the road tonight to face the Corsica-Stickney Jaguars in the Region 5B SoDak 16 qualifying match.
The Raiders are looking to get back to the state tournament for the first time since 2016, but they are still two wins away from getting there. Tonight, the Raiders are on the road against the Jaguars who are coming off a blow-out win over Crow Creek where the Jaguars allowed only 19 points. Meanwhile, the Raiders are battle tested after losing the first set to Tripp-Delmont/Armour before coming back and winning the match in four sets. The Raiders will again have its hands full against the attack of the Jaguars who have four players with over 100 kills each and two with over 200 kills on the season. Faith Plamp, a sophomore, leads the Corsica-Stickney attack while Kinley Spaans has over 600 assists and 100 kills can do it all for the Jaguars. The Raiders will look to counter with its experienced lineup with a lot of varsity time both on the volleyball court and the basketball court as Kenzie Wagner, Brooke Montgomery, Ella Ehlers and Briley Oldenkamp are the four seniors for the Raiders.
First serve from Corsica is set for 7:00 tonight.
