The Pierre Governor volleyball team will finish out its year tonight hosting the dangerous and top team in the state, the Harrisburg Tigers as the Tigers will finish out the regular season in its lone game of the week.
After tonight, the volleyball season will be done for the Governors as Pierre, at 1-18, will not qualify for the SoDak 16 next week Thursday. The Tigers, will be the number one seed in the SoDak 16 regardless of the outcome tonight as Harrisburg comes in at 27-4 with just one loss in South Dakota play, against the Brandon Valley Lynx. While the Governors played on Tuesday, Harrisburg is only playing one game this week and has not played since last week Tuesday after having the weekend off just like every other team. After the loss to Brandon Valley, Harrisburg has won 13 straight heading into tonight. The Tigers look to be set after tonight to start its path to win its fifth straight state championship.
Coverage tonight begins at 6:00 with a 6:30 first serve on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
