PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the men involved in a fatal crash in Dewey County. The crash happened October 26th six miles west of Ridgeview on U-S Highway 212 around four pm. The Patrol says 87 year-old Leonard Neary of New Meadows, Idaho was driving a 2016 Tiffin Motor Homes R-V west on Highway 212 with a Jeep Wrangler in tow. The Jeep began to sway due to slush and snow on the road, causing the R-V to lose control. The vehicle entered the ditch where it rolled over. A passenger with Neary, 85 year-old Charles Clark of Palm City, Florida was killed in the crash. Neary was taken to a hospital in Eagle Butte after suffering serious non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Seat belt use by the men remains under investigation.
