PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will start with approval of a six-item consent calendar. Included on the calendar are the minutes and claims along with a promotion in the police department, a new volunteer firefighter application and new hires in the Business Office and Central South Dakota Communications. Four items of new business make up the balance of the agenda. Second reading will be given to the city’s proposed ordinance for Personal Electronic Vehicle use and first reading will be given to revisions in ordinance regarding governmental organization and administration. The introduction of two plat changes are also on the agenda. One is in the Riverplace Second Addition while the second is in the M-G-K Addition. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
