FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County School Board has been recognized by the Associated School Boards of South Dakota with a Gold Level award. The award recognizes the Boards work during the 2025-26 school year. To reach the GOLD level, the Stanley County School Board accumulated 500 or more ALL points. All is the A-S-B-S-D’s Act, Learn and Lead program and honors the work of school boards across the state that strive to increase their knowledge for effectively serving students. Points are collected by taking part in A-S-B-S-D activities, training opportunities and demonstrating leadership at the local, state and national level. A-S-B-S-D Executive Director Heath Larson says Stanley County’s Board members put forth excellent effort in the previous school year to earn the award. Ninety-two school boards earned an ALL award which is the largest number since the award began 10 years ago.
