PIERRE, (KCCR) — An Eagle Butte man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on two federal sexual assault charges. U-S Attorney Ron Parsons says 24 year-old Emanual Semon will serve 10 years and one month in federal custody and be ordered to serve five years of supervised probation upon release. Semon was indicted by a federal grand jury for Sexual Abuse Without Consent and Sexual Abuse of a Minor in July of 2024. He was found guilty during a three-day jury trial this past May. Parsons says evidence presented during the trial put Semon at a residence in Pine Ridge on July 3rd of 2024. That’s when, according to the evidence, Semon engaged in sexual contact with a juvenile female without the victim’s consent. Semon stopped when an adult entered the room and interrupted him. Semon was taken by the U-S Marshals Service to begin serving his sentence.
