For the one and only time during the regular season, the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will play on a Friday night as the Buffs travel to Highmore to face the Highmore-Harrold Pirates.
It’s the second of three straight on the road to close out the season after Stanley County dropped its match on Tuesday on the road to Kadoka Area. It puts the Lady Buffs to now 8-16 on the season. Highmore-Harrold is coming in at 16-9 on the season and in fourth place in the 6B standings. The Pirates are looking to remain in the top four to keep a quarterfinal home game in the playoffs while the Lady Buffs are trying to get the final couple of wins to jump into fourth place in the 6A standings so they can host a first round matchup in the region playoffs. After tonight, the Lady Buffaloes will travel to Murdo to face Jones County to wrap up the season while Highmore-Harrold will face rival Miller next week.
First serve tonight is scheduled for around 7:30 at the Hyde County Auditorium.
