PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of two men involved in a crash killed a Wood man. The crash happened October 5th on U-S Highway 183 around 11:30 am, 18 miles south of Presho in northern Tripp County. Thirty-seven year-old Clinton Osterbur was was driving a 2022 Dodge Ram north when he pulled over to remove a trailer tire. He then attempted a U-turn to drive back to Winner. That’s when a Freightliner semi driven by 67 year-old Wayne Soles of Winner was traveling south with a gravel load. Soles struck the Dodge driven by Osterbur. Osterbur was transported to Winner Regional Health where he passed away five days later. Soles was using a seat belt and received minor injures. Osterbur was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
