PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Native American Day holiday is moving the Pierre School District Board of Education meeting to tonight from it’s normal Monday night. The Board will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Donavan DeBoer. Any Board and public comments will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. The Board will hear a presentation on an from All Kids Bike on a bike pump track idea and make a delegate nomination for the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Assembly/ Board members will consider approval of donations, resignations, and contract items along with first reading of a policy revision regarding the oath of office for members of the school board. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue. The meeting is open to the community.
