PIERRE, (KCCR) — The free application period for South Dakota’s six public universities is open. The South Dakota Board of Regents began the free application period on Thursday and it’s in effect until November 30th The free application window allows students the chance to explore post-secondary options and discover programs that match their interests. Board of Regents Executive Nathan Lukkes says the free application window removes a barrier from the process of applying to a state school and gives students time to explore various options to make an important decision. The free application period is open for Black Hills State, Dakota State University, South Dakota Mines, South Dakota State, Northern University and the University of South Dakota. It’s available to students from the State of South Dakota and from any South Dakota Advantage state outside South Dakota’s border.
