The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes would not go down quietly Monday night as it would take a five set thriller for the Lyman Raiders winning 25-22, 25-13, 23-25, 19-25 and 15-10.
It’s easy to let the match get away from you when you’re down in a 0-2 hole, but the Lady Buffaloes fought back to force the fifth set and even battled to grab several points in a row when Lyman had match point in the fifth set. However, after jumping out to a sizeable fifth set lead, Lyman would be able to wear down the Buffs to grab the win as the Raiders improve to 10-7 and Stanley County drops to 5-13. JoRayah Walker had 10 kills and three aces for the Lady Buffaloes while Addy Deal and Austyn Norman would add in another seven kills. Lyman would be led by Jordyn Scott who had 19 kills and six aces.
Stanley County will be back on the court on Saturday, a home triangular taking on both Crow Creek and Todd County with first serve of the day starting at 1:00 at the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
