PIERRE, (KCCR) — A change is being made starting today with a pedestrian crossing on the north end of the Euclid Avenue Reconstruction project. The crossing at 5th Street and Euclid is being returned to the 4th and Euclid intersection Pedestrian signs will be placed at 4th Street as well and the use of crossing guards will continue when school children are using the intersection. North of 5th Street vehicle traffic will be arranged in a two-way pattern in the newly constructed southbound lanes so work can continue in the northbound lanes. Drivers are reminded to slow down when driving through the work zone and be alert for pedestrians, construction workers and their equipment. Morris Incorporated won the bid for the 26-point-four million dollar project that has an overall completion date of November 20th.
