The Pierre Governor golf team will begin its postseason today as the Govs head to the ESD Invite at the Brookings Country Club.
For the Governors, they did not get to play at the Brookings Country Club, even though they were scheduled to play there during the season. Two weeks ago on September 14, the Govs were scheduled to start a busy week in Brookings, but the rains coming through over the weekend and the weather for the day didn’t look promising and the invite would be canceled. Now, Pierre will look for its best day to date to start the final two meets of the season with the state tournament looming next week Monday and Tuesday. The Govs have been close to having top five and even top three team finishes, and against other ESD teams as Pierre can be in the thick of things for the day.
The ESD meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM today at the Brookings Country Club.
