After dropping the first set, the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes would win the next three to beat the Gettysburg Battlers on Thursday night during Homecoming with a 3-1 victory.
The win ups the Lady Buffs record to 5-11 on the season while Gettysburg falls to 7-5. Scores of the match would be 15-25, 25-18, 29-27 and 25-18. The extra point win in set three set the tone for Stanley County to get the fourth set win and grab the fifth win of the season. JoRayah Walker would have a big night with 16 kills while Austyn Norman had nine and Timber Hanson finished with five to lead the Lady Buffs to the win. Stanley County is now 5-5 in its last ten games.
The Lady Buffaloes get a much needed break after Thursday’s win as Stanley County won’t play again until traveling to Mobridge to take on the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers next week Thursday.
