Both the Pierre Governor soccer teams would fall on Thursday on the road against Aberdeen Central as the girls would fall 2-0 and the boys would fall 3-0.
The Governor boys drop to 3-6-3 with a trip to Harrisburg to close out the season, but the loss doesn’t move the Governors back in the standings and keeps them at 15th place. The Governor girls fall for the first time this season and are now 11-1 on the year. After a scoreless first half, Aberdeen Central would take the lead halfway through the second half and put the Governors behind for the first time all season. Pierre had always scored first in all 11 wins. Emlyn Swanson finished with seven saves.
The Governors finish up the season on Tuesday with a trip to Harrisburg. The girls will play first at 4:00 with the boys game to follow.
