The Pierre and Stanley County cross country teams would both compete at the Rapid City Invite on Thursday and Daniel Mason would lead the Pierre Governors to a 23rd place finish.
Mason would have the best finish of any Governor as the Gov boys would place ninth as a team as Jim Neddo would be in 42nd place. Jett Kirschenmann, Zaden Crane and Eli Scheibe would finish in 66th, 68th and 70th respectively. Asher Oxford and Brayden Brave Heart would finish in the top 100 for the Governors. Sarah Oedekoven would place 35th finishing the highest for the Governor girls as Pierre placed tenth as a team. Nevaeh Gutenkauf would be in 45th while Sydney Caven placed 56th, Lily DeSchepper at 88th, Lydia Zilverberg at 97th and Evelyn Coughlin at 127th.
For Stanley County, AJ Green would place 83rd to pace the Buffs while Ryland Magee would be in 88th and Bridger Gruber in 105th as the three Buffalo varsity runners.
