The Pierre Governor tennis team had its home triangular on Tuesday facing both Aberdeen Roncalli and Rapid City Central, splitting the two duals with a 6-3 loss to Roncalli and 7-2 against Central.
In the first dual against Roncalli, the Governors would get a win from Elise Bowers in singles flight one along with Adrian Hand in flight three. Bowers and Eliza Mayer in doubles flight one would get the third win against the Cavaliers. Bowers would finish her day at 3-1 while Hand would also go 3-1 as both would win their singles matches against Rapid City Central and Hand and Gemma Stangeland won in doubles flight two over the Cobblers. Mayer in flight two, Stangeland in flight five and Emma Barnet in flight six each had singles wins while Avery Schwartz and Barnett would win in doubles flight three.
The two matches moves Pierre to 4-9 in duals this season. The Governors will travel to Huron on Saturday and take on both Watertown and Brookings in ESD duals starting at 9:00.
