PIERRE, (KCCR) — A very light agenda comes before the Pierre City Commission tonight. A total of six items are on the agenda and two of them fall on the consent calendar and one is informational. Commissioners will hear an update on Park and Recreation activities as those wind down for the summer and the consent calendar contains only minutes and claims. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider approval of a plat change in Riverplace Second Addition. There are two items of new business. Commissioners will consider approval of two requests for the discharge of fireworks by the Pierre School District. One is for September 11th and the second for September 25th. The final action item for the Commission is second and final reading of the 2027 city budget ordinance. The meeting will end with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have including the release of August enplanements at Pierre Regional Airport. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
