The Pierre Governor tennis team is back on the court after a busy weekend as the Govs host both the Aberdeen Roncalli and Rapid City Central in a triangular starting this morning.
The Governors are now 3-8 in duals after going 0-4 last weekend, but today, Pierre looks to stop the skid with a Class A team and the Cobblers who they have already beaten. Pierre beat the Cobblers 9-0 in Rapid City just a couple of weeks ago and the Govs will look to add to the win column. Aberdeen Roncalli is 8-3 heading into today’s duals. The Cavaliers played in Pierre the opening weekend of the season but did not play against the Governors. Aberdeen Roncalli has won six straight. The Cavaliers also placed second in the Madison tournament in which the Governors competed as well.
The triangular begins at 11:00 AM between Pierre and Aberdeen Roncalli. Aberdeen Roncalli and Rapid City Central will follow and then closing out the afternoon will be Pierre and Rapid City Central, at the Griffin Park Tennis Courts in Pierre.
