The Pierre Governor cross country teams would travel to the Augustana Twilight Meet on Friday in Sioux Falls where Harper Shaffer had the best finish of any Governor between 419 girls and 502 boys in the varsity meets.
Shaffer would finish at 108 at 20:49.52. Shaffer was just a minute behind 53rd place so the amount of finishers in a certain time frame tells you how close everybody would be. The winner would run a sub 17 minute 5K and win by near 30 seconds. Devyn Van Roekel would run a 21:14.63 in 145th place. Nevaeh Gutenkauf would finish in the top half of all the runners competing at 201 while Sydney Caven would be at 211 while Sara Oedekoven would be in 223rd. Lydia Zilverberg and Lily DeSchepper would round out the Governors at 303 and 317.
Daniel Mason would let the Governors at 112 finishing at 17:22.52 while Jim Neddo would be a second behind him at 116. Jett Kirschenmann would be at 18:19.22 at 205 finishing inside the top half of all competing. Tryton Parmely at 326, Asher Oxford at 338, Shane Jones at 391 and James Stolley at 423 would round out the Governors.
