The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will be searching for its first win of the season tonight as they travel to Platte to face the Platte-Geddes Black Panthers.
The Lady Buffaloes are 0-3 on the season, but nearly got the win over the Wall Eagles on Saturday in part of the home triangular as the Lady Buffs lost in five sets to the Eagles. However, the Buffs were swept by Chamberlain and Bennett County. Tonight, the Buffs face the 2-2 Black Panthers coming off a 3-1 win over the Todd County Falcons on Tuesday. Platte-Geddes, who went 14-20 last season, return its top two hitters from last year along with its setter. Kori VanDerWerff and Taylor Schrank each return for the junior and senior years while setter Kolbi Hoffman is in her junior year. Overall, Platte-Geddes lost just one senior who played in the row so the front line for the Black Panthers all return giving them an extra boost of confidence.
First serve tonight is scheduled for around 7:00 tonight in Platte.
