A total of 15 golfers would be on the course on Tuesday as the Pierre Governors would host the Pierre invite as Matthew Eberhard would get a top ten finish on the day to lead the Govs.
Eberhard would shot four over par, 76 to finish in ninth place, eight shots back of first as both Beckham McPeck and Josh Liudahl would tie for 16th place two shots behind him at six over par, 78. All three had two birdies on the day. Caleb Hutton and Tate Stoeser would finish at eight over par, 80 rounding out the scoring for the varsity team. Rigley Kulesa would be sixth for the Govs varsity squad at nine over par, 81.
Pierre would have a second team which had nine golfers compete. Ryker Edson and Jack Bacon would each have the best score for the second team both being seven over par, 79 as Bacon had a birdie. Matt Mosteller would be 10 over par, 82 while Logan Anderson would be at 14 over par, 86, Bryce Feazell at 18 over par 90, Logan Steiner at 21 over par, 93, Max Broz at 22 over par, 94, Connor Peschong at 95 and Cole Hand at 99.
Individually, Cooper Shuman of Brandon Valley would win the day at four under par, 68, beating Asher Dannenbring of Mitchell by single stroke. Shuman had just one bogey while having five birdies.
As a team, Pierre would finish in fifth at 24 over par, 312 tying aberdeen Central and being just four shots back of third and nine shots back of Yankton for second. Brandon Valley would take the team score of eight over par, 296, seven shots better of Watertown. The second Pierre team would finish in ninth at 38 over par, 326 just nine shots back of sixth place.
