PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will start off with approval of a six-item consent calendar including minutes and claims, a new firefighter application and three raffle requests. The raffle requests have been filed by Beyond the Classroom for two raffles and the Central South Dakota Recreation Committee. As for the rest of the agenda, Commissioners will consider five separate items. The first is a request to purchase chip seal emulsion for the Street Department. The Commission will consider two items connected to the Cell Four expansion at the Pierre Regional Landfill. One is for a contract amendment with H-D-R and the second for project completion and closeout. Commissioners will consider a request to surplus items for the State of South Dakota surplus sale in Fort Pierre and Commissioners will continue hearing outside agency budget presentations. This week Capital City Campus, The Senior Meals Program at the Community and Youth Involved Center, the Convention and Visitors Center and Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Community Room. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
