The Kimball/White Lake Nationals, the top seed in district three would beat Four Corners on Wednesday to claim the district championship with a 5-2 as both teams will prepare for the amateur baseball state tournament.
Kimball/White Lake would score four runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good Jaxon Christensen, Cooper Leiferman and Keaton Christensen each getting an RBI in the inning. Four Corners would try and mount the come back with Andrew Coverdale and Matt Lusk each having an RBI ground out in the top of the fifth to make it a 4-2 game. Kimball/White Lake would add on a run in the bottom of the eighth finish out the win in the ninth. Noah Hainey doubled for Four Corners. Four Corners will finish the season and district playoffs at 11-6 on the year and will be the first representative out of district after the district champion.
Both Kimball/White Lake and Four Corners will now await the drawing of the state tournament which will begin next week in Mitchell. The 32 team bracket will be set by the end of the weekend.
