The Oahe Zap would stop its losing streak on Tuesday in a doubleheader against the Bison as they would split the two games, losing in game one 12-6 and then winning 10-0 in game two.
It would be a nine run inning in game one for the Bison to snatch the game one win as Oahe led 2-0 in the first and it held up until the top of the fifth where the Bison would score those nine runs. Another three runs in the sixth helped put the stamp on the first game win. John Perry had two doubles and three RBIs for the Bison to lead the team while Pablo Briceno had three hits. Cy Taylor and Gavin Fraser each had a double and an RBI. Ty Farwell, Trey Alexander and Dillon Bowie also had an RBI for the Zap in the first game loss.
In game two, Brock Butcher would throw a six inning four hit complete game shutout and did not walk a guy in the win as he threw just 73 pitches. Butcher had five strikeouts to compliment only allowing four hits. Ty Farwell had things going early on for the Zap as he hit a three run homer just three batters into the bottom of the first. Farwell finished with four RBIs in total. Quinn Ludvigsen drove in three runs and Taylor had two RBIs. Connor Goldberg had a triple in the win. Ludvigsen had the walk off RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to officially stop the seven game losing streak.
Oahe is now at 20-25 and will play its final home game of the year tonight at 7:05 to wrap up the four game series against the Bison. Oahe still will play two games against Spearfish on the road Friday and Saturday before the playoffs begin next week.
