Harrison Avenue Closed From Highway To East Sioux Avenue

PIERRE, (KCCR) — A short distance of Harrison Avenue between Highway 14-34 and East Sioux Avenue is closed for the next three weeks. Access to Harrison south of East Sioux Avenue is still being maintained. Utility work connected to the construction of a new River Cities Public Transit bus barn is the reason for the closure. Detour signs are in place for the closure. Trucks and other large agricultural vehicles should use Lowell Avenue as a detour to get to East Dakota Avenue. The work is not a City of Pierre project. Arex Construction of Pierre received a street closure permit from the Pierre City Commission for the work.
