PIERRE, (KCCR) — One of the longest agendas of the year for the Pierre School Board turned out to be one of the shortest meeting ever. The Board cleared the agenda in right around 15 minutes Monday night. It was the first meeting for new superintendent Dr. Donavan DeBoer…
DeBoer did offer congratulations to some Riggs High staff for a recent achievement…
The Board then put DeBoer in control of the meeting for election of a new board president and vice president…
The Board elected Jessica Lewis to serve as the Board vice president for the 2026-27 school year. The Board also reestablished eight standing committees with new and existing board members. The meeting also marked the first for new Board member Madisyn Rabern, who was elected to fill the seat left vacant by Dan Cronin choosing not to seek reelection.
