FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. The meeting will be with city officials giving reports to the council before taking on action items. The first item is the appointment of John Duffy to assume the vacant Ward I Council seat and consider annual appointments of officials, depositories and boards. A legal services agreement is also up for consideration. The Council will consider approval of a temporary liquor license for Trader Days and 2026 Mobile Home Court licenses. Three items on tonight’s agenda are connected to the city’s lagoon lift station project. Council members will also consider approval of a Core and Mail estimate for a water main project and approval for an estimate of a lift station on Shimrose Drive. Other agenda items include considering quotes for slurry seal, an amendment to a contract with Brosz Engineering, pay applications for Benjamin Street and Tatanka Trail and approval of contracts with Time Clock Plus and Black Mountain Software. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six p-m.
