PIERRE, (KCCR) — A disaster relief fund for victims of Monday’s extreme wind storm has been activated by the Capital Area United Way. To support the relief fund, checks can be mailed to Capital Area United Way; P-O-Box 1111; Pierre South Dakota,57501. Check’s can be dropped off at the Capital Area United Way business office in Capital City Campus at 925 East Sioux Avenue. Donations can also be made online by going to capareaunitedway.org. When making either a check donation or online donation, include Highmore Disaster Relief on the donation so that those funds are directed property to the relief effort. Meanwhile, a self-report link has been established by Hughes County for residents impacted by storms to report residential and commercial damage. The deadline to report damage is July 10th.
