The Oahe Zap have evened the four game series with the Casper Spuds on the road with a 15-9 win using an eight run sixth inning to help claim the win over the Spuds.
Casper would get a five run bottom of the fifth taking a 4-2 lead from the Zap to a 7-4 advantage for the Spuds. But the next half inning would be the difference in the game as the Zap had eight runsĀ to take a 12-7 lead as they would take advantage of three errors in the inning. Garren Gledhill had an RBI double while Cy Taylor, Blake Imhoff, Emmanuel Ealey and Gabriel Cantona would all get RBI singles in the inning. The biggest part of the eight run inning was the scoreless bottom of the sixth to grab hold of the momentum. Oahe had seven hits with Taylor having three and all but one hitter would get a hit, but Dominic DeCarlo would still have an RBI for the Zap. Imhoff would have three RBIs while Gledhill had two, Taylor, Mason Melton, Landon Meyer, Ealey and Cantona all had an RBI each. Ty Farwell had a triple in the win. Brady Glenn would get the win in relief as he allowed three runs on six hits with two strikeouts in two and two third innings of relief.
The series is now even at a game apiece and the Zap now 9-16 on the season. Game three tonight is at 7:30 Central time in Casper.
