Ridge Leimbach had to throw 120 pitches, but the Pierre alum would fire enough to keep the Capital City Aviators off the board and have a seven inning no-hitter for the Oahe Zap winning 10-0 on Sunday completing a four game sweep.
Leimbach would have eight walks and a hit another man, but would also strike out eight and one error committed by the Zap defense was all the base runners the Aviators would get. Oahe would get 10 runs on 10 hits but used four Aviators errors to score six unearned runs with Gavin Fraser hitting a walk of double in the bottom of the seventh to get to the 10 run rule win. Ty Farwell would also double as Fraser had three hits, Landon Meyer and Blake Imhoff each had two hits. It completes a four game sweep in which the Zap were desperate to get to move to 8-15 on the season. In the four game sweep the Zap outscored the Aviators 47-2 winning by the 10 run rule in three of the four games which helps save some arms. It leads into a big series against the Casper Spuds for a four game set on the road. The Spuds are coming off a series win over Spearfish and have won seven of the last eight coming into the series.
First pitch tonight is at 7:30 Central Time from Casper, Wyoming.
