PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Again, a lighter agenda will come before the Commission. It starts with a six-item consent calendar. Included on the calendar are minutes and claims. A new hire at Pierre Regional Airport and a wage adjustment and two raffle requests. One is for the South Dakota Library Association and the second is for Hillsview Ladies Golf Association Pink Ball tournament. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for second reading of a rezoning ordinance in the Wall Plaza Addition on the site of the former Pierre City Hall. In new business the Commission will hear about the annual Missouri River Clean-up and consider a change order and final payment for 2026 precast concrete materials. Commissioners will also consider a street closure request filed by R and W Construction for the 100 block of East Dakota Avenue from June 29th to July 7th.
