The Oahe Zap have been off from baseball since last week Thursday, but will return to the field today taking on the Spearfish Sasquatch to start a four game series with the first two on the road in Spearfish.
The Zap are coming into the extended weekend with a 4-12 record having lost to the Capital City Aviators last week Thursday and the Zap have lost five of the last six. Spearfish is on the other side of the mark right now after completing its two game set with Casper. The Sasquatch started the week at 12-3 and had won six of seven and the defending Independence League Champions are looking to be a strong candidate to be one of the two teams in the championship series at the end of the year. Casper, being right around .500 through the first month of the season is hanging in the second spot with the Zap needing to make up ground. Oahe wants to start rattling off wins especially against the Independence League teams to gain ground on them as the season with just over five weeks remaining in the season.
First pitch tonight is at 7:05 Central time in Spearfish tonight.
