PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding its June meeting tonight. The Board will recognize the Tri M Honor Society before considering approval of an eight-item consent calendar. Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt will make remarks followed by any Board and public comments. The Board will consider adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget and have a hearing on that budget proposal. The Board will also hold a canvass of the June 2nd Pierre School Board election. Action is expected on renewal of workers compensation and property, auto and liability insurance coverages along with first reading of proposed changes to the T-F Riggs and Elementary school handbooks. Final reading and adoption will be considered for the Georgia Morse, Classified employee and Administrators handbooks. Firsts reading will be given to a job description for a Georgia Morse In-School Suspension Supervisor/Athletic coach position. The Board will also consider approval of the Special Education Comprehensive Plan. Other agenda items include approval of donations, resignations and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets at the District Administration building at 5:30 pm.
