Surrounded by family, Metzinger signed his oath of office before Sixth Circuit Judge Christina Klinger. The Commission set Metzinger’s salary at 93-thousand dollars per year. They also approved a wage adjustment for now Chief Deputy Dustin Drew, returning Drew to an hourly pay scale from salary. Drew was moved to a salaried position when he stepped in as interim Sheriff until the election.
