PIERRE, (KCCR) — The 2026 Primary election is taking place tomorrow across South Dakota. Last week, Hughes County election officials finished the bulk of prep for Tuesday. This primary is the first under a new state law requiring elections be held only in June or November. Oliva thinks the actual races and not the change in election days is driving this year’s participation..
There will be approximately 21 poll workers manning Hughes County vote centers on Tuesday but many more volunteers behind the scenes to make the election run smooth…
Polls are open tomorrow from seven am to seven pm, local time.
