The Pierre Governor track and field team would wrap up its regular season on Thursday in Huron at the Wendelgass Relays as Charlee Williams-Smith would set a new school record in the 800 meters as Pierre would win 12 events.
Williams-Smith would win the 800 at a time of 2:13.66 setting the new school record while Gwen Richter would get two wins, both in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Aubrey Fischer would get a first place finish in the 200 meters. For the Governor boys, Carter Schiefelbein would win the 400 meters while Caleb Morris would win the 800 meter run, Lincoln Dilges winning the 110 meter hurdles and Corde Austin winning three events in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. The team of Jerren Deal, George Rapp, Poter Hunsley and Karson Walti would win the 4×100 and then Rapp, Walti, Cooper Terwilliger and Schiefelbein would win the 4×200.
