The Pierre Governor golf team would wrap up its final meet before the ESD conference invite next Tuesday as Hadley Hart would place ninth while the team tied for eighth at the Brookings Country Club.
Hart was just two strokes away from placing in the top five as she was nine over par, 81 for the day picking up a birdie on hole three. Drew Rechtenbaugh would be 43rd at 22 over par, 94 while Taylor Crawford would be a shot behind her at 95. Sittie Kasan would shoot a 97 to round the Governor scoring as Charlotte Brakke had a 107 and Ava Gray had a 112. Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun would be even par, 72 to win the event, one shot better O’Gorman’s Ari Jacobs at one over par, 73. However, O’Gorman would get the team score win by two strokes over Aberdeen Central at 27 over par, 315 with the Golden Eagles at 317. Pierre would tie for eighth with Watertown at 79 over par, 15 shots back of sixth place.
Pierre will go to the ESD next week Tuesday in Aberdeen, the final event before the state competition. Tee time from Moccasin Creek Golf Course is at 10:00 AM
